Nissan Maxima QX and Toyota Camry
Like a Mercedes, but cheap to me...

Nissan Maxima QX of new generation. In the second place, in

little from the automobile of the previous generation. The same

wider than the predecessor.

about THE USA. There this model (are natural, somewhat
different, for the American market) it leads not only in its segment,
but also in the absolute test among the passenger automobiles!
In the course of the recent renovation Toyota Camry it underwent entirely insignificant changes. The chrome-plated radiator grill appeared, new front bumpers with the wide air duct and larger "protivotumankami", front headlights slightly changed and is more noticeable - backing lamps. In the salon - scanty changes. And engine is the same: V- descriptive with "six" power of 195 hp. - truth, now motor answers the ecological standards Euro 3.
Outwardly new Maxima is clearly more interesting, is brighter
than Camry. And, perhaps, it more completely corresponds to the
ideas of our compatriots o "almost prestige" automobile. The
same picture and with the salon. And if about Nissane it is
possible to boldly speak that this "almost Infiniti", then Toyotu to
compare with Leksusom is nevertheless somewhat early.
In favor Of nissana played the fact that to us was reached the
automobile with the salon of the uncommon color range: it is
finished by natural skin of beige and chocolate it is color. It
is stylish and it is high-quality! But when we settle in Nissan
with the upholstering from the skin of "usual" gray color, again it
became boringly. True, in Camry - is still duller. But the
only storage element - the wide visor above the instrument panel -
position does not save.

But from the point of view of ergonomics Of s.amry,
perhaps, it is better.
Despite the fact that the nissanovskiy motor is somewhat more
powerful, are accelerated automobiles absolutely equally, nostril into
the nostril. Gearshifts occur practically synchronously, yes
even ease of control of acceleration - on the same level. And we

The sensitivity of steering control scarcely higher to
Camry, reactions only are more precise, and efforts for the steering
wheel (especially with parking) only are less. But the
informativeness of steering control is better on Nissane: driver
feels well machine and, in spite of not such precise reactions, more
daringly he enters into the turning.
When the speed of the passage of turnings approaches maximum, both automobiles react to the braking by engine (when the selector of transmission is located in the position "2") by smooth drift. Slip is wonderfully checked by thrust and control, making possible for experienced drivers to appear its craftsmanship. In these regimes Nissan it behaves only better -, first of all, because here more rigid suspension. And heels Nissan less.
From other side, during the motion at the high speed along the poor road Maxima because of the rigid suspension it begins to dance, forcing to podrulivat'. But here Camry even with the rapid ride in no way strains driver.
One additional difference appeared during the estimation of brakes. Here in front of Nissan. It seems that the determining role played tires (Miche.lin Primacy 215/55 r16) and ABS.: it operates not earlier than wheels are blocked. Outstanding brakes!

And nevertheless as a whole of the estimation of the driver properties and other consumer qualities of both machines it is very close, and insignificant advantages in one discipline are immediately balanced by the same insignificant defeat in another.
But once so, then price becomes the determining factor in the final arrangement of forces. Victory, although with the small detachment, gains Nissan: Maxima almost to $2000 cheaper than Toyota Camry.
